Founder & CEO
MD Laden Islam
I spend most of my time on the part before anyone builds anything: working out which half of a brief is worth paying for, and saying so plainly enough that the decision is easy.

Profile
What I do here
I own scope, price and delivery. In practice that means the first hour of every engagement is spent narrowing rather than expanding: which part of this brief moves a number the client cares about, and which part is there because it was on a competitor’s site.
The second thing I own is the seams. A business buying a website, a campaign and a support desk from three suppliers is buying three things that do not have to agree with each other. When those come from one team, somebody has to be accountable for the whole outcome rather than for their department’s share of it, and that is the job.
How I work with a client
I would rather tell you something unwelcome in the first reply than manage your expectations for six weeks. If the site is fine and the problem is the offer, I will say so. If a freelancer would serve you better than an agency, I will say that too; it costs us a fee and it is the reason people come back.
Everything decided goes in writing. Not because of disputes, but because a decision nobody wrote down gets re-made three weeks later by someone who was not in the room.
Practical wins
-
Published the prices
Starting figures for all six services sit on the pricing page in US dollars. It costs us the enquiries we were never going to win and saves everybody the two calls it used to take to find out.
-
Made ownership non-negotiable
Domain, hosting, repository, CMS, analytics and ad accounts are in the client's name from day one on every engagement, and our access is removed at handover unless they keep us on.
-
Killed the scope that would not pay
More than one rebuild has been talked down to a landing page and a tracking fix because that was the part that would change the enquiry count. The rest was design we would have been paid for.
-
One named owner per project
Not a shared inbox and not an account manager who forwards things. Escalation stops with a person whose name is on the proposal.
Strengths
Role-specific strengths
What Laden is actually good at, rather than a list of everything the agency does.
Turning a wish list into a scope
Most first briefs describe a product. The version that ships describes a problem. Getting from one to the other is where the money is saved.
Pricing that does not drift
A fixed figure for an agreed scope, with changes costed before they happen rather than absorbed and invoiced at the end.
Keeping five disciplines pointed the same way
The seams between web, software, marketing, brand and support are where projects leak. Owning those seams is the job.
On your project
Where this role touches your work
Named points in a project rather than a general promise of involvement, so you know who to expect and when.
-
01
The first reply
I read the enquiry. If we are the wrong fit, you hear that in the first reply rather than after a discovery call.
-
02
Scoping and pricing
What is in, what is out, what it costs and what it will not do. In writing, before anyone starts.
-
03
When something goes wrong
Escalation stops with me. You should never have to work out who to chase.

Work from this discipline. Where a study names the person who led it, it says so on the study itself.
Premium breeder website: Regents Kennels
A trust-sensitive category where buyers compare breeders carefully before making contact, and the old site gave them nothing structured to compare.

What our clients say
Reviews you can go and read
Published by the clients themselves on Trustpilot and Google, with their names against them. Nothing on this page was written on a client’s behalf.

What Laden will tell you, including when it is unwelcome
The positions that cost us work sometimes. They are here because they are the ones worth knowing before you hire anybody.
-
A smaller first step is usually the right one
If a quarter of the budget answers the question the whole budget was going to answer, we do that and you decide the rest afterwards.
-
We will turn work down
Declining a project costs us a fee and saves you a quarter. If we are not the right people, there is nothing clever about taking it anyway.
-
No figure goes on this site that we cannot trace
Not in a proposal, not in a case study, not on a home page. Where a client has not confirmed a number, we describe what changed instead.
